The Instagram boss explains why they don't have a dedicated Instagram app

But it is not very credible.

But it is not very credible.

It's hard to believe, but even now in 2020, Instagram doesn't have its own iPad app. This means that Instagram, despite constantly introducing new, and often superficial, features has not prioritized a dedicated iPad application.

- We want to, but ...
The reason for this has long been a mystery, but now Instagram boss Adam Mosseri eases the veil in a response to a user asking the question.

And Mosseri points to resource challenges as the reason why so far we haven't been able to care about the photo-sharing platform with Apple's tablet. Listen to this: the company does not have enough resources to develop for both platforms, according to Mosseri.

Instagram has enough stuff on its hands, Mosseri emphasizes, and these things should probably be more lucrative than an application on iPad.

Facebook has the resources they need
Whether or not there will ever be a separate app for Apple tablets is uncertain, but what one knows for sure is that Instagram's parent company, Facebook, is in the long run financially good for developing such an app if they really want it.
