Mozilla has released a new update that addresses a critical vulnerability in Firefox.
The error allowed attackers to take over your system, according to the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Mozilla can tell that hackers have already exploited the hole to carry out attacks.

The bugfix was launched on Wednesday and if you have automatic updates turned on (turned on by default) then you should be safe.
"On Tuesday, January 7, 2020, Chinese security company Qihoo 360 reported a vulnerability used as part of targeted attacks on a local network," a Mozilla spokesman said in a statement.
So, a day after Mozilla became aware of the case, they launched an update.
To check that you have the latest Firefox edition, click "Firefox" in the top menu and then select "About Firefox". From there, you can manually update your browser, if needed.
