EA rewards you for prioritizing security.

EA rewards you for prioritizing security.

As long as a service supports two-factor authentication, you should use it. It is a relatively secure mechanism that prevents anyone from abusing your account.

Valid in October
EA also wants you to use this. The company now gives you one month of free Origin Access access if you turn on two-factor authentication.

This is offered in connection with October being National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

If you use two-factor authentication during October, you will have access to Origin Access Basic at no cost for one month.

Already activated it? You also get one month free
If you have already turned on this security mechanism, you will also receive one-month free subscription. In that case, your account will not be charged until next month.

A Basic subscription actually costs NOK 33.50 a month. It gives you access to Battlefield V, Titanfall 2 and Burnout Paradise Remastered.

Here's how to turn on two-factor authentication.
