Disappear from Device Manager
This is because Microsoft is blocking the update after the company discovered an error that could cause applications to crash.
Users may also find that the graphics card disappears from Device Manager. Games that require the dedicated graphics card to be used will in some cases refuse to start.
Jobs with error correction
Only Surface 2 machines with dedicated Nvidia graphics cards are affected by the error. It's all due to a compatibility issue, according to Microsoft.
"Microsoft has identified a compatibility issue on some Surface Book 2 devices configured with Nvidia's dedicated graphics processor (dGPU). After updating to Window 10, version 1903 (…), some apps and games that need to perform intensive graphics operations will suddenly turn off or be unable to open, ”writes Microsoft in a support document.
The company states that a fix is on its way.
"We are working on a solution and will offer an update in an upcoming launch," the company writes.
