YouTube hits down on all "hacking" videos

But at the same time, delete all videos that only reveal security holes

YouTube has increasingly begun to censor several types of content that they do not like or believe violate their terms. In the United States, they have been criticized for having removed videos from bloggers on the political right, while leaving left-wing radical videos untouched.

This time, they face resistance to removing a larger number of videos related to hacking. Specific instructional videos showing how to bypass security routines, software or hardware weaknesses, and the like. The intention is probably well-intentioned, and no-one is obviously profited by hackers with shady intentions getting easy training via YouTube videos.

Blinds blindly
But the problem now is that YouTube does not distinguish between videos that have criminal intentions - and those designed to warn people about vulnerabilities. For example, there are own environments that create videos to help and inform about the weaknesses that exist in multiple systems - followed by suggestions on how to seal the security holes.

YouTube, on the other hand, deletes these videos, and now several are furious that YouTube puts all "hacking" videos in the same booth - without any critical choice of what is made with good or bad intentions. The deletion is likely to occur mostly through algorithms that look for certain topics and words in the videos, and automatically flag them for.

So far, anyone who creates content about information security and weaknesses must probably look for another platform for sharing such material.
