MSI's new gaming notebook is a beast - in specification and shape

The Core i9 processor is in desktop-class, MSI promises.

MSI's Titan Series portable computers have never been the slimmest, which has consistently been the reason why they have been equipped with the best components the market has to offer.

Can be overclocked to 5GHz - if you're brave
The new GT76 is no exception - in this, you will find a ninth generation Core i9 from Intel, powerful enough to be characterized as a desktop class. It is believed to be from the K-series (Unlocked) with eight cores and 16 threads, and according to MSI can be overclocked to speeds up to 5GHz - if the cooling allows it so clearly.

According to Engadget, this machine makes a decent competitor for Alienware with its Area-51M, which we wrote about in January. However, it is uncertain whether MSI uses the "socket" -placed CPU that allows customization of this, as Alienware has on its machine.

Fans and video cards
Furthermore, the GT76 has four fans and eleven heat pipes - the machine will according to MSI have more than twice as much air passage, interestingly enough without having been specified what it is compared to. This is pretty stupid, but until now it is assumed that it is compared to GT75.

For video cards, however, one must be careful with an RTX 2080, a pretty strong GPU initially, but somewhat tame compared to the RTX 2080 Ti. Anyway, raytracing and dedicated TENSOR cores exist, so it should be sufficient for a laptop, depending on the price so clearly - this one is still unknown.

In what price category would you rate the MSI Titan GT76?
