Google launched the first public test of Android Q.

Here's the plan:

 

• Beta 1 (March 13, 2019)
  
  

• Beta 2 (incremental update, beta, early April 2019)
  
  

• Beta 3 (incremental update, beta, early May 2019)
  
  

• Beta 4 (finished APIs and official SDK, Play publishing, beta, early June 2019)
  
  

• Beta 5 (launch candidate for third quarter Q3 2019)
  
  

• Beta 6 (launch candidate for final testing Q3 2019)
  
  

• Final launch for AOSP and ecosystem (Q3 2019)
  
  

Now we know a bit more about Google's road map for Q this year: there are a total of six beta versions before the OS is released in the final version during the third quarter of this year.

 

The update is 1.3GB:

What is fine this year is that the beta can be tested on all Pixel mobiles, that is:

Among the news are improved privacy and security, improvements for foldable mobiles, new media encoders and camera features, as well as a host of new APIs. We will return with more information when available.
