When maybe the goal of 1 billion Windows units is late this year.

 

Microsoft can finally boast that they are far closer to 1 billion Windows units than, well, since they started counting in 2015.

 

100 million new units in half a year
In other words, the OS has grown by 100 million units since September 2018.

 

Many of you probably remember that Microsoft went out and proclaimed that the goal was 1 billion units in 2015 (they launched the summer of the same year) and that they would reach the goal within two to three years.

 

The launch of Windows has been a major success for Microsoft, but some issues have included coercive installations and recent major upgrades that deleted users' content in the document folder.
