The A12X Bionic performs well in synthetic tests.
When Apple presented the new iPad Pro, they also showed the performance of their new A12X Bionic-SoC, which was made using TSMC's 7nm FinFET architecture.
This SoC is the first from the company that contains an 8-core processor. Apple continued and claimed that the phone could offer the same performance as an Xbox One - and in a device that is 94 percent less.
Leaked benchmark results
Now, the benchmark results of iPad Pro have begun to appear, and the results show that Apple's latest tablet is almost as fast as a 15 "MacBook Pro from 2018 - a computer that is otherwise equipped with an Intel Core i9 processor.
From the Geek Bench results, it can be read that iPad Pro can show a single-core score of over 5,000 points, while the multi-core score is less than 18,000 points. By comparison, the results for a 15 "2018 model of MacBook Pro with Core i9 processor of 5,419 and 21,251 points respectively.
As always, you must take such synthetic tests with a pinch of salt.
