Microsoft has just revealed that Fluent Design is now supported in Win32 applications.

We hope all programs get fluent
That means that all the programs, for those developers who want it and we hope there are many, can use the fun Fluent Design interface that Microsoft itself uses in its Windows 10 apps and third-party UWP apps.

This is thanks to new "UWP XAML Islands":

"With UWP XAML Islands, you have access to more powerful and more flexible XAML controllers no matter what interface platform you're using: Windows Forms, WPF, or Win32."
