Now Windows is an app for iPhone
Share onWindows 365 is finally launched for consumers, but Microsoft has more in store: Windows as an app.

Windows App is the obvious name for the app that works for iPhone, iPac, macOS, Windows and the browser. Instead of the Windows 365 app, the new app can stream the OS from a PC, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Microsoft Dev Box and Microsoft's own Remote Desktop Service.
As mentioned, the company has also announced virtual machines with GPU support:
Today, we're excited to announce that Windows 365 GPU-enabled Cloud PCs are now in public preview. For graphic designers, video editors, 3D modelers, data analysts or visualization specialists, Windows 365 now offers the GPU acceleration you need to be productive on the device of your choice and wherever you work.
Unfortunately, the app is only available to developers right now, but there are hints that consumers will also be able to:
“The sign-in message on the Windows app on Windows suggests that you can access the app using a personal Microsoft account, but this particular functionality doesn't work yet,” reveals The Verge
It makes sense all the while the company this week also launched the Windows 365 GPU-enabled Cloud PC public preview as mentioned at the beginning, i.e. Windows in the cloud powered by powerful GPUs. That way, the OS can be run on virtual machines in the cloud, but with powerful GPU performance:
- Windows 365 Enterprise GPU 4 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, 4 GB vRAM, 512 GB
- Windows 365 Enterprise GPU 8 vCPU, 56 GB, 12 GB vRAM, 1TB
- Windows 365 Enterprise GPU 16 vCPU, 110 GB, 16 GB vRAM, 1TB
