Apple admits Mac has a scanner problem - How to solve it

In an aid document, Apple describes a problem you may have experienced: The scanner does not work anymore.

There are Apple's own Scanner apps that fail, including a preview
The problem can occur when using the "Image Capture", preview, or "Printers & Scanners" section in System Settings. The error message sounds that "You do not have access to open the application".

Apple says they work with an update to solve the flock, but in the meantime, the problem can be solved by performing the following steps:

 

Do this if you are struggling with the scanner in MacOS

 

1. Close all open apps.

2. From the menu in "Finder", select Go and go Tiol folder.

3. Paste: / Library / Image Capture / Devices and press ENTER.
   
   

4. Double-click the app that provided an error message in the window that pops up. It's Nanvet on the scanner driver. Nothing should happen when you press it.
   
   

5. Close the window and open the app you used to scan. A new scan should be performed correctly. If you later velt to scan from another app and get the same error message, repeat these steps.
