Microsoft's email solutions used in businesses are big-hacked. Bloomberg describes it as a global security crisis after it is now known that Microsoft's Exchange systems have been hacked for several months
At least 60,000 affected
Hackers backed by Chinese authorities, according to Microsoft, have so far hacked at least 60,000 accounts. Hackers try to infect as many accounts as possible while Microsoft works hard to secure their systems.
The hack is potentially critical as banks and electricity suppliers are among those affected.
This is what the White House says
What makes hacking critical is the fully automated process of hacking thousands of customers in the final stages of the attack after several months of hacking.
Even the authorities are on the case:
“We assess and deal with what has happened. This is an active threat that is still evolving, and we urge network operators to take this very seriously, ”explains a White House spokesman.
