Now this Gmail feature is getting better

Easier to find what you're looking for.

Easier to find what you're looking for.

The Gmail search feature is already easy to use, but now Google makes it even easier to find the content you are looking for.

Customize your search with "Search chips"
The company is now introducing a new feature called "Search chips". This is a feature that allows Gmail users to find content in a way similar to regular Google searches. This means that you can better customize your search.

Instead of just typing in keywords or a person's email address, "search chips" allows you to do a more advanced search. If you search for a colleague's name, you can narrow your search by including only specific content, such as different attachment types. Or you can choose to show only emails within a given timeframe. If you want, you can also exclude content from showing up, such as calendar invitations.

The rollout is in progress
"We've received feedback from users that Gmail search could be faster and more intuitive. With search chips, you can easily customize your search results and find what you are looking for, without having to scroll through irrelevant results, ”Google writes in a blog post.

The rollout of the new feature is already underway, but it can take up to 15 days for all users to access.

Once the search chips are in place you can use it by clicking the filter buttons below the search box.
