Samsung has heard everyone's prayers

It is common for things to leak from Samsung months and weeks before the launch. This is also the case this year.

Dropping Exynos (so far)
The company will show off its new S models, notebooks, and watches on February 1st, and now the leak is definitely here in the form of specifications and EU prices.

Perhaps the best thing is that Samsung drops its own Exynos chip and instead equips all models with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the fastest Android chip on the market.

Samsung claims the new chip is almost photo magic.
23 and 23+ get:

  • 6.11″ – 6.6″ – AMOLED Infinity-O – 1600 x 900 – 48 to 120Hz refresh rate

  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

  • 8GB of RAM

  • 128/256GB – S23+: 512GB model

  • HDR10+

  • Gorilla Glass Victus 2

  • Thickness: 7.6 mm

  • One UI 5 – Android 13

The S23 has a 3900 mAh battery and support for 25 W wired charging.

The S23+ has a 4700 mAh battery with up to 45 W wireless fast charging.

The under-panel fingerprint sensor is probably also in place, two SIM card support, IP68, stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos.

The cameras on the two models below the Ultra are as follows:

  • 50MP – OIS

  • 12MP ultra-wide angle

  • 10MP telephoto – 3 x optical zoom

  • 8K video @ 30 FPS – 4K @ 60 FPS

  • 12MP Autofocus Selfie – 4K @ 60FPS HDR10+

Prices leaked
As we can see, the prices have also been leaked. We see no reason to believe that this is not true, as this happens every year with Samsung.

The most affordable model with 128GB costs NOK 10,200. The very most expensive, S23 Ultra with 1TB of storage space, will cost just under NOK 20,000. It is roughly NOK 2,000 less than the iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB if these prices include VAT.
