Microsoft fires 10,000

In November last year, it became known that Meta had to fire 11,000 people.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella confirms that 10,000 employees will have to go as part of cuts that start now. The company expects to be finished in March.

Over 11,000 could be fired
The reason was that the company made an all-too-quick U-turn towards the VR/AR market, failed to follow up with consumer products, and started the operation just before the global economic withdrawal in the cooling water of covid.

Now it is Microsoft who has to do something sad: it is reported that they are getting ready to fire about five percent of all employees: because they have 220,000 employees worldwide, which means about 11,000 employees.

The number may be higher
