Tesla gets Dolby Atmos

BGR reports in an exclusive article that Tesla will equip its cars with Dolby Atmos sound.

The update is probably not far from the launch
The website says that an update is on the way which facilitates this on current and newer models.

 

"Tesla has been working with major record labels for months to add support for Dolby Atmos in its cars," reports the newspaper.

 

Over 1 million Teslas get support when the update is rolled out, so it's not about older models. Exactly which models will receive is currently not known, but we expect to soon know which model year is the oldest with support. Apple Music support is also on the way, but it is not known if Apple Music's Dolby Atmos 3D sound is supported.
