25 percent consider quitting up

2022 has not been a pleasant year for Netflix and now a survey shows that 1 in 4 is considering giving up the service this year.

Can Netflix turn the trend?
On July 20, we wrote that "Netflix reports in its recent quarterly report that they lost 1.3 million customers in the second quarter 2022 in the US and Canada." The message came after they first lost 200,000 customers in the first quarter.

One of the company's hopes is that an advertising-funded subscription, which is not free but cheaper, will help. They will launch this in the US early next year.

Most still look most on Netflix
Now has conducted a survey to find out what 1000 Americans think about the Strømme offer.

The figures look like this, and so far it is positive for Netflix-here is the distribution among those asked for what services are preferred when sitting down in front of the TV:

1 in 4 are considering dismissing Netflix
As you can see, almost four out of five Americans have a Netflix subscription, but what about the future?

The scary percentage is 25: This is the number of those surveyed who are considering canceling the service.

Two-thirds say they want to dismiss due to the regular price increases as one of the reasons.

Here are all the reasons:

Disney+ takes in on
One in three replied that Netflix does not offer content they want to watch, while 30 percent say they use one of the other streaming services more.

These are services Americans subscribe to:

  • Netflix: 78 percent

  • Disney+: 46 percent

  • HBO MAX: 42 percent

  • Peacock: 33 percent

  • Hulu: 26 percent

  • Apple TV+: 22 percent

  • Amazon Prime: 5 percent
