Fluid Flux is an advanced physics system for realistic water in real-time. It's now available for Unreal Engine 5.

It's time for a water revolution in games
Joe Garth sells content to Epic's graphics engines, and now he has recreated a beach he visited, took pictures of, and then imported the objects into the engine.

 

What is interesting here is the widespread use of Fluid Flux which recreates how water behaves far more realistically than we have seen performed in a game before, including interaction with the rocks on the beach.

 

In combination with UE5's advanced texture system Nanite which allows for a higher number of advanced 3D objects, also in the distance, and Lumen, you can run the demo on a GTX 1080 ti and get over 60 FPS.
