iPhone 13 has managed to be on the market for several months, but only now has it been found that the phone lacks something that was present in older models, namely the function for noise reduction during phone calls. The function is usually activated by default and aims to reduce background noise from the surroundings when you hold the phone up to your ear.

 

To begin with, it was reported as a probable error or bug. Several users posted on various Reddit forums where they struggled to find the button to turn off the feature in case they needed it.

 

Does not state the cause
And shortly after, Apple has now confirmed that this is not a miss - they have removed the feature themselves. It appears in a message exchange between Apple and a user who misses the feature, where the company says that the noise reduction feature has been removed, without stating the reason for this.

 

Until Apple eventually chooses to reverse the decision, the only option is to activate the voice isolation feature in the control center.
