Power Reserve Mode is a feature that came with iOS 14.

Backup power mode allows you to use certain features on the iPhone even after the battery is empty.

The following models support Apple Backup Power Mode:

  • iPhone 11

  • iPhone 11 Pro

  • iPhone 11 Pro Maks

  • iPhone 12

  • iPhone 12 Pro

  • iPhone 12 Pro Maks

What is backup power mode?
Apple has a vision that the only thing you need when you are on the go is an iPhone. It should be able to replace most things from the wallet to the car keys. Problems only occur when the phone runs out of power. The reserve stock is intended to prevent it from leading to critical situations.

 

Backup power mode provides access to certain features of the iPhone after the battery is empty. It can help you for up to five hours after the phone turns off if you do not have access to charging. The backup power is available. It provides access to some of the key features of critical situations.

 

Activated automatically
Backup power mode works with NFC tags and the “Express Card” feature on the iPhone. Express Card does not require Face ID or Touch ID authentication. The NFC tag will approve that payment goes through. If you use digital car keys, you can tap the phone against the car to unlock it.

 

Backup power is automatically activated when the phone is idle - and deactivated when it is charged.
