Apple ARM performance revealed

Already performs much better than MacBook Air.

At the end of June, we were served the first Apple Silicon performance figures, but there was a big problem with them.

Now the numbers are here without GeekBench emulation
This is because GeekBench at the time had to be emulated in macOS, and therefore in no way gave a clear picture of the performance.

But now Geekbench 5 Pro is running without emulation in macOS, and the first numbers have been revealed.

Much faster than the cheapest MacBook Air
When GeekBench is not Rosetta 2 emulated, it passes 1098 and all 4555 in the multi-core test, which is a big increase.

The most affordable MacBook Air model can handle 1005/2000.

This of course bodes very well for future chips, as the A12Z is the first and already to be found in the iPad Pro 4. When the chips arrive that are really meant for the Apple Silicon platform, then it will be even more exciting to measure performance.

Here is an example of how an iPhone and iPad app looks in macOS Big Sur
