Not so easy today.
Not so easy today.
The addition of some new lines of codes in the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) hints at a piece of gratifying news for you who may be thinking about recording at 4GB in one go: the code eliminates the maximum limit of video recording set to 4GB per day.
Snapdragon 865 allows for 8K
It is technically possible to film over 4GB today as well, but then you must expect the recording to be split into multiple files instead of one complete video file.
We would like to welcome the change as the camera quality continues to improve and therefore requires more storage.
It seems like a natural evolution of things anyway - with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 on newer Android phones this year, the ability to record video in 8K is activated. Of course, that gives reason to believe that the files will be even bigger in the time to come.
