My People, or My People in Norwegian, was introduced to Windows 10. This is a feature that allows you to attach favorite contacts to the taskbar for quick access to messaging and file sharing.
But it may be on its way, according to Albacore on Twitter.
Stops development
According to the user, Microsoft will soon put an end to My people. That is to say; The function will remain there for the foreseeable future, but development will stop. It's supposed to happen from the Windows 19H1 version.
The 19H1 will be launched next spring and it is expected that My People will still be there. What's happening after later updates is not known, but Microsoft may scratch this functionality completely.
The problem with My People is that many services do not support it. For the vast majority of contacts, only Skype and email you can use, which makes it all less useful than it could be.
Microsoft has not commented on the rumors themselves.
