Those who have pre-ordered Fallout 76 are given a bunch of opportunities to test the game in a beta version either on console or PC through Bethesda's own game platform. Yesterday did not go according to plan, and many PC players had big trouble getting started because the game cleared itself.
Those who were testing the game in the few hours it was open in beta mode on PC experienced a tricky download process where they had to download 50GB of data up to several times because it deleted itself after the first download was completed.
This made the victims very upset as the beta test was open for almost four hours and much of this was lost to download the game again.
In an update, Bethesda reports that tomorrow's beta period will last some extra hours to compensate for the failure that many PC players experienced.
