But why?

Razer Huntsman is a new type of keyboard with "optomechanical" switches.

Two new products with opto keys
Let's first take for us Huntsman which is a new series of keyboards:

Huntsman Elite with dedicated media keys and wrist support as well as light
«Performance-focused» Razer Huntsman without these extras, but both have backlighting
This is the point
Both keyboards use opto technology that utilizes optical technology, that is, an infrared light in each key that more accurately detects keystrokes. The keys are 30 percent faster and with 1.5mm activation.

The taste sensation should be similar to the Razer Green switches but is slightly easier with 45 g of compressive force. Each key is also reinforced with metal, so the keyboard lasts longer.

Keyboards are available now (but we do not see them in Norwegian online stores yet), and here are the specifications per product:
Razer Huntsman Elite (210 euros)

Razer Huntsman (160 euro)
