Google stops Chrome support for older editions of macOS

In connection with the latest update for Chrome for macOS, Google has updated the system requirements for the popular browser.

In connection with the latest update for Chrome for macOS, Google has updated the system requirements for the popular browser.

Only Yosemite and newer
In summary, it means that the browser and future releases of it require "OS X Yosemite 10.10 or later". This means that people with OS X 10.9 Mavericks and Older can no longer update to newer versions of the browser.

Users with these macOS releases are encountered with the following message when they try to update Chrome:

"You can not use this version of the" Google Chrome "application with this version of OS X. You have OS X 10.xx. This application requires 10.10 or later. »

Yosemite was launched in October 2014 and was later followed by El Capitan, Sierra, and High Sierra, while Mojave was rolled out this fall. Chrome supports the following versions of Windows: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.
