Sad to Old Yahoo. The hackers, or the data nodes in good Norwegian, did not break in and retrieved information about 1 billion customers, no, it was even worse than what Yahoo wanted to admit last year before they were sold. Yahoo never found himself after the .com wave lay Verizon is the new owner (they have collected old Yahoo under the brand "oath") and they are hardly happy that they have now found out after they first got a discount after the breakthrough became known that all Yahoo accounts were hacked in August 2013. Three billion accounts - that's all users. It's an unimaginable data leak. Yahoo did not announce the burglaries before December 2016.
