In today's mobile market there is hard competition for the customers and it can often be difficult to stand out in the mass. Purism is a company that uses security and privacy to attract customers.

Security and privacy in focus
Purism already has a portable portable PC, and is also working to expand its range with a security-focused smartphone. The company develops what they refer to as "the world's first, encrypted smartphone based on an open platform". The device runs Purism's PureOS platform based on Debian GNU / Linux.

The name of the model is Librem 5 and the device boasts encrypted conversations that hide your number, sending encrypted text messages and emails, as well as setting up VPN for secure browsing online.

people Funded
Like the PCs for Purism, Librem 5 will also have a kill switch that disables camera, microphone, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and baseband.
