Future iPhones will get super speeds.

Two months ago, we wrote that Apple has applied for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to test the 5G network.

The application has been approved
This week, DSL Reports writes that Apple has received the approved application and can start testing next generation mobile networks. Apple will start testing millimeter wave tapes in two locations at the company's offices in Milpitas, California.

The testing will take place at 28 and 39 GHz frequencies, which FCC last year approved for commercial use.

In the application, Apple wrote that they want to test the 5G network for a period of 12 months, so ask if the technology is in place in next year's iPhone or iPad.
