The newspapers want closer cooperation.

Facebook's Campbell Brown says to The Street website that the social media plans to test a payment service.

Must pay for a certain number of articles
The service is built on the "Instant Articles" of the social media, which retrieves articles from hundreds of publications and is based on the user's interests and preferences, reports The Street.

The plan for Facebook is to set up a payment mall so that users will have to become subscribers if they want to read on after reading ten articles.

"One of the things we've heard during the meetings with several newspapers and digital publications is that" we want a subscription product - we want to see a payment mall on Facebook ". And that's something we're going to do. We are launching a subscription product, Brown said during the Digital Publishing Innovation Summit in New York last week.

The newspapers want better integration with Facebook
In another article on The Street, David Chavern, head of the News Media Alliance, who represents 2000 newspapers and digital publications in the US and Canada, wants a product that increases the number of digital subscribers.

- It's too early to say. It has been a wish for a long time that Facebook has better integration with the publications subscription model. We have faith. I'd like it to be a good product that works well for publications, but we do not know yet, "says Chavern to The Street.

The testimony of a payment server on Facebook will start in October.
