What is your worst and best memories?

After April 11, it is over and out for the OS even Steve Ballmer admitted was a failure: Windows Vista.

Gaped over too much
"We were trying on too big a task and ended up losing thousands of hours of innovation, explained CEO in conjunction with the company's CEO conference.

It was just not done in a good way. Not the product itself, but we got a gap of about five, six years without a new product, "said a frank Ballmer in 2010 - seven years later and it is ultimately for the OS, but what does that mean specifically?

Well, after that date there will be no new security updates, no new features or enhancements matter if you had wanted to pay for it or not, nor technical content updates online.

Mainstream support for the OS halt already in 2012.

We look back
We wrote in 2009 and 2010 a number of Vista, ranging from defense trouble as the OS caused, and the fact that the OS, such as Windows 10, often took reboot without the user's consent.

Vista debacle was however saved by Windows 7 (read our review), an OS well liked by most, and which was notified as a lifesaver also by Intel (and growing fast).

The undersigned remembers well how massive hype was for Windows 7 when the world could download: ITavisen had over 1,000 comments under the article.
